Work Life Balance Goals for 2020

We are already into 2020, and most of us will have implemented our New Year’s Resolutions.  As part of your resolutions, pursuing a healthy work – life balance should be a goal to work to.  Some of us vow to eat better, exercise more, quit smoking etc, which are all great goals.

At IMS, we recognize the importance of having a good work-life balance.  It goes without saying, that our staff are extremely committed and hard-working during their hours at work, but we all share in the fact that we require a satisfying amount of time for outside work activities.

Maintaining a good balance improves overall happiness and well-being, which in turn contributes to a healthy work environment.

Some tips to create a good work-life balance:

  • Prioritize work tasks.
  • Take regular breaks during the working day.
  • Leverage technology to work smarter.
  • Leave work at work.
  • Exercise, eat healthy, meditate.
  • Spend time with family and friends.
  • Get the recommended amount of sleep.
  • Take that holiday!

Work is an important part of everyone’s life, but it is still just one part!

IMS attend EXPO Event at Green Park Reading

IMS attended the Thames Valley EXPO Event in Ascot earlier in the year and we enjoyed it so much that we attended the recent Event in Green Park Reading.  This EXPO Event is one of the largest Business Events and the longest running within the region.

We met some influential people on the day, and listened to various keynote speakers such as Naomi Riches MBE, British Rower and Jordan Daykin CEO of JD Brands Limited who appeared on Dragons Den. We also attended some interesting workshops, and even got in on some selfie pictures with Alec Jones-Hall Director of THE Great British Expos!

These events are a great opportunity to connect with the local Business Community to meet with like-minded individuals. We look forward to attending some more Events in 2020.

IMS New Headquarters in Ascot

We are excited to announce, that we have recently moved office from Virginia Water to prestigious offices in Ascot.   Our old office served us well, and we have very fond memories of our time there, but the move has come at the right time as we had outgrown our headquarters in Virginia Water.

The new office is situated in Ascot Business Park, close to the train station, and the well-recognised Ascot Racecourse.

As much as we loved being situated in the beautiful countryside in Virginia Water, we are hoping that the new location will help bolster our visibility as a Company.

We are still working on getting settled in, but we look at the new location as the start of another chapter in the history of IMS.  Thank you to everyone for your continued support throughout the years, and with the move!

Mental Health well-being within Clean Working Environments

Mental Health in the workplace is highlighted now more than ever and with it most recently been Mental Health Awareness Week in the UK, did you know that having a good Commercial Cleaning Company in place benefits not only your physical health but your overall well-being?  A Study by an Indiana University professor and research scientist, Nicole R. IMS attends Thames Valley EXPO Event at Ascot Racecourse

IMS were delighted to attend an EXPO event in The Pavilion at Ascot Racecourse in May 2019.   The Thames Valley Expo Ascot, formerly Thames Valley Expo Windsor is a networking event to connect with other business individuals in a beautiful and relaxed environment.

We met with some like-minded individuals, attended some interesting seminar workshops and even got involved in ‘speed networking’ sessions which was a fun way to introduce ourselves!   There were also some very influential keynote speakers at the event such as Dragons Den star Edward Hollands, John Davies an international entrepreneur and founder of Cash Flow, Derek Redmond the British Athlete and Paul Waite a renowned entrepreneur and founder of leading accountancy firms in the UK.

When a person says they are ‘Networking’ immediately what springs to mind is ‘what are you trying to sell’? We like to meet with different people at events such as the recent EXPO, as we are not only sharing what we do as a company, but also meeting with influential people who can give advice on various matters that would improve our business, coming across new opportunities whilst helping each other.

With all this in mind, IMS plan to attend some networking events throughout the year and look forward to sharing our experiences with you.


Deep Cleaning Services – Surrey

IMS recently completed a carpet clean at our client Toshiba Tec UK, Chertsey Surrey. Our cleaning operatives are extremely proud to work in such a distinctive period office building, situated in the heart of Chertsey.  Toshiba TEC UK was incorporated in 2000 and is a leading business technology provider helping businesses across the UK to streamline their processes, saving valuable time and money.

The deep clean was led by our Area Manager Svetlana Naneva, which was performed out of hours at the weekend.  From the pictures you can see an example of the before and after intense carpet clean which was carried out, using a combination of buffing and hot water extraction methods, the client was extremely pleased with the results.

IMS have been servicing offices and schools for years and often recommend deep cleans to keep your building feeling marvellous.  Daily office cleaning takes care of the daily build up but there will always be areas that will benefit from a quarterly scrub.

Meet Monika Jonderko our new Area Manager

We are delighted to announce that Monika Jonderko who has been with IMS since 2014 has most recently been promoted to Area Manager.  Monika started as a Cleaning Operative at one of our most prestigious clients, Future Electronics in Egham.  She was promoted to Support Manager in 2017 and due to her continuing hard work and dedication in the company, Monika has rightfully earned her new position as Area Manager.

Operations Manager Malcolm Smith commented ‘Following a successful trial period, Monika has been promoted to Area Manager.  I could not think of a better person for the role, given her hard work, commitment and dedication, well done Monika!’

Carpet Cleaning Services Reading, Berkshire

IMS were recently approached to carry out our carpet cleaning services to a company in Reading, Berkshire for their extremely busy and well used staff break out area.

The team were faced with not only stains and spillages from food and drink, but also industrial oils and greases due to the nature of the site.

Our team, led by our Support Manager Shabbir, performed the job out of hours and used a mix of bonnet buffing and hot water extraction methods.  The outcome of their hard work is something we are very proud of, and the client was extremely satisfied with the end result and couldn’t quite believe we managed to remove all the stains.

Employee Of The Month Award

December 2017 Employee of the Month - Daily Office Cleaning Services Bracknell, BerkshireHere at IMS, we are committed and dedicated to provide an excellent working environment for all of our employees. We would like to award Sharon Hopes for December’s employee of the month, who is the daytime operative at our client JDA Software in Bracknell where we provide our daily office cleaning service.  Sharon was actually put forward by our client James Cross for her exceptional attitude to always go above and beyond, as well as the excellent standards Sharon maintains.
